I love Sundays

This past Sunday was one busy but fun day! I started my day at 5 am! I had to work from until 2:30 pm, I quickly changed after work and went to a friends graduation party, from there I went to Church and then had dinner with two wonderful friends. The weather was in the 60's, still pretty chilly for this time of year! Despite the coolness, we wanted to eat outside. We went to a local restaurant that at one time was a church! It is so beautiful, we sat outside by a fire that they light and stayed until they closed at 10 pm. I then drove home and went to bed because the next day I had to up by 5 am once again! Season of lonliness

Lately I have felt so alone, I miss having friends around all the time and always having something to do on a Friday night. Lately, life has consisted of working 40-50 hours a week and church on Sundays. How I long to do fun things with friends, to be silly, laugh for hours on end and just enjoy each others company. I have been transitioning to a new phase in life and it is difficult. I haven't been a student for a few years now and all my close friends have moved away. Don't get me wrong, when I finally do see my friends from far away, it is like we have never been apart and I love, love that!

I am not sure why I am currently struggling to find friends who are at the same stage of life as I am, people who are there for me. I just want to find a few people who accept me as I am, who don't give me a list of things I need to fix. I want to be chosen and loved for me, just as I am.

This has been a really hard season and it doesn't appear to be ending any time soon. Here is what I know:

•  I know that the Lord has a plan for all that He does.
•  I know He works all things for the good of those who love Him.
•  I know the Lord can sympathize with me. Tonight I was reading from Matthew 26 and in verse 31 Jesus tells his disciples, His close group of friends, that they will all desert Him that night. 
• Jesus knows what it is like to be alone. 

I am going to leave you with this quote I came across tonight:

GoodBye

Friday night my friends and I threw a surprise going away party for two of our friends who are leaving us. My friend Jon left on Sunday for the Navy and will be gone for SIX years! My friend Luis is being deployed in February for one year, our group of friends will not be the same with out them. However, I am thankful that there are people who are willing to serve for our country, who are willing to be away from their family and friends to protect mine.

Packer Land!

Yes that is right, I live in the good ole state of Wisconsin where we love our Green Bay Packers! Last night I went to a packer party at my lovely friend Hillary's house, we had so much fun watching the game, eating good food and of course wonderful conversation!

It was also our friend Jon's birthday on Sunday so we had a wonderful Dairy Queen ice cream cake to celebrate!

A walk on a cold winter day

My friend Sara came to visit from Beloit, WI. I haven't seen her in almost a year, it was so nice to be able to spend the whole weekend with her! We took a walk in the park on Sunday and it was -2 degrees out!! Winter is so beautiful .....

I am still amazed every time I look at God's creation ....

Friendship

This Saturday I went to Mishicot to hang out with some of my amazing friends. We went to the beach and ate bagels and just relaxed and shared what was going on in our lives. We talked about crazy times at work, school. God and much more. It was just what I needed. A day to get away and not think about anything but just enjoy life! And you know what!? I did! I am still adjusting to my new job and new apartment. My roommates will be moving in at the end of the month and I can not wait! I love being around people. I am so excited to see what God will bring this year and how He will provide a way through it all.

 This is Katie, I consider her my best friend. She knows just about every thing about me. We met at youth group about 8 years ago, although at the time I was friends with her older sister and she was friends with my younger sister. We ended up at the same college and our life stories/goals are similar. We both want to be missionary nurses. We are roommates who always get along and we are like sisters. She is such an encouragement to me and I can only hope that I am to her as well. And yes, we do love corn fields!

That's right! I am officially a Registered Nurse! I passed the NCLEX, no more studying endless hours and worrying about taking the test, it is all over and I can breathe once again! I have been training at my new job this past week and now have a 3 day weekend! Wednesday I went to lifest and saw some great bands and hung out with some great friends! Friday I had lunch with Liz and Alexa. We talked about starting a women's bible study which really excited me! I miss going to Bible study! Tomorrow I am going to lifest again and than seeing some old friends.

Waiting

Well I took the NCLEX today.... I had 75 questions which is the least amount that you can get, 265 is the most. I have no idea how I did, I pray that I passed.I will get my official results in one month but in a few days I will have my unofficial results....The wait is on,,,,,,,

Yesterday I went with my friend Maria to stay at my friend Leah's house. It was so good to see both of these women, they are so devoted to God, it makes them so beautiful! I am so blessed to have such great friends. Today after the test I got to have dinner with two more special lady's; Jacque and Heather. It was such a blessing to see all four women in 2 days!
